Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, including Minor Care, MedSurg, and PCU departments.
• Flex between departments as needed, demonstrating comprehensive clinical skills across all areas.
• Identify patient and family education needs; deliver education using appropriate modalities.
• Ensure patient safety through preventative measures such as proper use of restraints, side rails, and equipment.
• Operate and troubleshoot medical equipment correctly, adhering to safety and repair procedures.
• Follow infection control protocols, maintain accurate documentation of patient status, interventions, and responses, and complete physicians’ orders promptly.

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington RN license.
• Proven experience in MedSurg, PCU, or telemetry units.
• Knowledge of patient safety protocols, infection control, and equipment operation.
• Ability to document accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare team.
• Competency in providing patient education and managing emergency supplies.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in rural or Critical Access Hospitals.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
