Job Title
• Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type
• 13-week contract, nights (6:45 p.m. – 7:15 a.m.), 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide patient care within the Intermediate Care/Progressive Care Unit and Stepdown units, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Assist with procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, wound care, and complex medical interventions.
• Float within scope across multiple units, including Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU departments, to meet patient care needs across various campuses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care and maintain safety standards.
• Comply with unit protocols, documentation, and virtual nursing requirements, including EKG interpretation and use of healthcare technology.

Required Qualifications
• Valid RN license in the state of Kansas or eligible for licensure.
• 1–2 years of recent experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown setting.
• Current BLS certification; NIHSS preferred.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac monitoring systems.
• Flexibility to float across different units and campuses as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• ACLS certification.
• Experience with sheath removal, feeding tube management, IV therapy, and phlebotomy.
• Knowledge of sepsis, wound care, renal failure, stroke, COVID, and related treatments.
• Proficiency with specialized equipment such as AirVo, Voalte, Omnicell, and 12-lead EKG.
