Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Full-time, Contract (13 weeks)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide bedside care to patients in an inpatient overflow stepdown unit with mixed levels of medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
• Monitor patient conditions, utilizing telemetry equipment and bedside monitors.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.
• Adhere to unit policies and procedures, including safety and documentation standards.
• Float to other units as required, maintaining flexibility and clinical competency.

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license in North Carolina.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• At least 2 years of recent progressive care or telemetry experience.
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and telemetry competency.
• Ability to work the shift hours of 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous experience in a PCU or stepdown unit.
• Strong patient communication skills with a compassionate, team-oriented approach.
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records system.

Note: Candidates must be comfortable floating to other units as needed and adhering to the specified dress code. Weekend coverage required every other weekend; no on-call required.
