Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn units.
- Circulate during vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including OR procedures.
- Administer blood products, IVs, medications, and manage special equipment such as epidural pumps and PCA pumps.
- Monitor fetal heart rate and respond to patient and fetal needs in high-risk and low-risk obstetric cases.
- Support couplet care and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout labor and postpartum processes.
- Document patient care and collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and active compact RN license in the state of Washington.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, OB Triage, or Newborn Care.
- Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or equivalent.
- Ability to circulate during deliveries and manage high-risk obstetric situations.
- Experience with IV starts, blood administration, and use of specialized OB equipment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM).
- Ability to float as needed to various obstetric units.
- Strong patient advocacy and teamwork skills.
