Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including pre- and post-operative care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in coordination with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses, reporting adverse reactions according to hospital policy.
• Educate patients and their families on post-treatment care, surgical procedures, and managing illnesses at home.
• Monitor and operate specialized medical equipment, interpreting electronic displays and making necessary adjustments.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, including dressing changes, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations following established protocols and standards.
• Document all care accurately and timely in the appropriate medical records system.
• Participate in discharge planning and contribute to overall patient safety and quality care.

Required Qualifications

• Current Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (must be attached to submission).
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Must have recent experience working on a hospital's medical-surgical floor.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
