Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown
Job Title: Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown
Location: Kansas City, MO
Schedule / Job Type: Nights, 13 weeks, 3 x 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, including IMC, PCU, and Stepdown units • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to meet individual needs • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes • Manage dysrhythmias, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response systems • Administer medications, including titrating cardiac drips and PCA • Perform various procedures, such as IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care • Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions
Required Qualifications: • 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse • Previous Charge and Teaching Hospital experience preferred • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills: • Experience with MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown settings • Knowledge of cardiovascular, endocrine/metabolic, gastrointestinal, genitourinary/renal, and neurological/psychiatric concepts • Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac monitoring systems • Experience with rapid response teams and use of emergency response systems
