Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care/Clinic/Outpatient

Schedule / Job Type: Days / Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in an outpatient ambulatory or clinic setting, following nursing standards and protocols.
- Assess patients’ needs, develop care plans, implement treatments, and evaluate patient responses.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver quality, efficient, and culturally sensitive care across all age groups.
- Administer medications, interpret diagnostic tests, and educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatments.
- Supervise and support unit staff, including secretaries and patient care technicians, in coordination with the Charge Nurse.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a nursing program from an NLN-approved institution.
- Valid Alaska Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficient in communication, medical terminology, and basic nursing skills.
- Ability to utilize the nursing process for patient care and documentation.
- Basic EKG skills and familiarity with medical equipment used in outpatient settings.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting as a Registered Nurse.
- Knowledge of care management, care continuum, and patient education.
- Ability to interpret diagnostic tests and medications.
