Registered Nurse - IR/Special Procedures
Location: Bemidji, MN
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM), no weekends or call, no floating to other units

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform IV placements for outpatient procedures such as CT scans, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and other pre/post sedation procedures.
• Assist in procedures including lung/liver/renal biopsies, nephrostomy tube placement, feeding tube placement, abscess drains, and pain management interventions.
• Conduct thyroid biopsies and fine-needle aspirations (FNA).
• Manage pre- and post-procedure phone calls with patients.
• Place PICC lines (experience preferred but not required).
• Operate EPIC/Radiant and Philips patient monitoring systems; utilize Sonosite ultrasound for IV starts.
• Administer moderate sedation medications following all safety and documentation guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

• Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minnesota RN license.
• Minimum of 3 years recent radiology or special procedure nursing experience.
• Experience with IV insertions, moderate sedation, and relevant procedures.
• Ability to document properly in EPIC and Radiant systems.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with ultrasound-guided IV placements.
• Prior experience with radiology, IR procedures, or similar specialty units.
• Familiarity with the use of Sonosite ultrasound equipment.
