Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' communication, speech, language, swallowing, cognitive, and breathing functions across various settings.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Provide skilled therapy interventions to maximize patients’ functional communication and swallowing abilities.
- Document all assessments, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with departmental and regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate therapy activities with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety, compliance, and professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of Oregon (in good standing).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
- Experience in outpatient, inpatient, or home health settings preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in home health, hospital inpatient, and outpatient environments.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
