Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology procedures in the lab.
- Prepare and maintain department equipment and sterile field for procedures.
- Monitor patient condition and respond to routine and emergency needs during procedures.
- Instruct and support patients before, during, and after testing or intervention.
- Contribute to departmental quality control efforts through auditing and reporting.
- Support training and onboarding of new team members.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a valid RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), or ARRT-R Radiography or imaging credential.
- Minimum of an associate degree from an accredited institution, or 2 years of cath lab experience in lieu of degree.
- Certification in BLS and ACLS (with ACLS within 30 days of hire).
- Must meet one of the following credentials: ARRT-R with MRT, RCIS, RCES, CEPS, or CCDS.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience assisting in electrophysiology or catheterization procedures.
- Knowledge of departmental quality protocols and patient monitoring.
