**Job Title: Tech - Surgical** **Location:** Charleston, SC **Schedule:** Days (630a-5p) with flexibility for 3x12 shifts (630a-7p) and 4x10 shifts, with one late week per 4 weeks to complete cases. **Job Type:** Full-time **Key Responsibilities:** * Manage ambulatory OR operations, ensuring seamless patient flow and efficient use of resources * Collaborate with surgical teams to plan and coordinate cases, prioritizing patient needs and facility requirements * Maintain accurate records and reports, including OR schedules, patient information, and supply inventory * Develop and implement strategies to optimize OR productivity and reduce wait times * Provide exceptional patient care, adhering to facility standards and guidelines * Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes * Maintain a clean and organized OR environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols **Required Qualifications:** * 9 years of experience as a surgical technologist * NBSTSA and BLS certification * Radiation badge provided by parent company of ORs * Experience in ophthalmology, ortho, ENT, GYN, GU, endocrine, or surgical oncology preferred **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience in managing OR teams and operations * Familiarity with electronic medical records and OR management software * Strong communication and interpersonal skills **Certifications:** * NBSTSA * BLS * Radiation badge (provided by parent company) **Travel Requirements:** * Guaranteed hours: 10 hours per 2-week period * May be required to precept care team members in the operating room * Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November, with peak months in August and September) **What We Offer:** * Competitive compensation package * Opportunities for professional growth and development * Collaborative and supportive work environment If you are a motivated and experienced surgical technologist looking to manage ambulatory OR operations, we encourage you to apply.
