Key Responsibilities
• Provide speech language pathology services in an outpatient setting within an acute hospital.
• Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for adult patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in the electronic health record system.
• Float within scope to different units as needed, based on facility requirements.
Required Qualifications
• Current Alaska state license in speech-language pathology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant outpatient experience.
• Knowledge of adult outpatient therapy practices, as per Utah Department guidelines.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in inpatient or outpatient hospital settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically Epic.
• Ability to accommodate a block schedule (e.g., 4x10 or 5x8 shifts).
