Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for adult surgical patients.
• Monitor and assess patient recovery from anesthesia, ensuring safe and effective post-operative care.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to coordinate patient treatment plans.
• Document patient status, care provided, and recovery progress accurately.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergent situations, demonstrating clinical judgment and skill.
• Floats to other surgical departments as needed to support patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Current New Mexico RN license or a valid Compact state license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Ability to handle emergency situations, with strong communication and clinical skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least 1 year of experience in PACU or perioperative nursing.
• Knowledge of anesthesia recovery protocols and patient monitoring.
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules.
