Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients in a hospital setting.
- Monitor patient conditions and recognize abnormal rhythms or vital signs, including ECG rhythm recognition.
- Administer medications and treatments following hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely using hospital systems.
- Work at least every other holiday as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months recent combined Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing experience.
- 18 months of previous permanent experience in the specialty applied for prior to travel assignments.
- Valid Ohio Nursing License or Compact State License.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a hospital with rotating day/night shifts.
- Familiarity with hospital electronic health record systems and safety protocols.
