Full-time, Night shift, rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced ER environment.
• Utilize the nursing process, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved techniques, policies, and standards of care.
• Perform thorough assessments, develop, and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
• Document all care activities accurately and in accordance with standards of practice.
• Participate in department performance improvement initiatives and contribute to shared governance activities.
• Support other departments with clinical expertise to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Practice critical thinking to promote patient safety and improve patient experience, escalating concerns appropriately.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and peer review processes to maintain high standards of nursing practice.

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• Either TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or TNS (Trauma Nursing Society) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience working in an emergency room setting
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
