Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech

Location: Salida, CO

Schedule / Job Type: Part-time, 24 hours per week, evening shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, and document patient information to determine testing parameters in collaboration with the physician or clinical director
  • Prepare and calibrate sleep study equipment, apply electrodes and sensors, and perform physiologic calibrations
  • Conduct a variety of sleep studies, including polysomnography, MSLT, MWT, parasomnia assessments, and oxygen titration, following established protocols
  • Monitor and record sleep data, ensuring signal quality, and document sleep stages and clinical events
  • Implement therapeutic interventions such as PAP therapy, oxygen administration, and safety actions as needed
  • Score sleep and clinical events accurately and generate comprehensive reports
  • Educate patients on procedures and respond to inquiries, providing age-specific patient care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, ensure safety protocols, and adhere to infection control standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a recognized polysomnography program or equivalent experience
  • Registration as a Polysomnographic Technologist (R.P.S.G.T)
  • Current BLS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Experience with NOX software is helpful
  • Knowledge of sleep lab procedures and patient care standards
  • Flexibility to work on rotating weekends and holidays as needed

Note: This position involves evening hours (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM), including some holidays and occasional weekends. A flexible schedule is required to cover vacations and illness for the sleep lab.
