Job Title: Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist

Location: Peoria, IL

Schedule / Job Type: Days, Full-time, Inpatient

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and provide intervention to guide feeding plans for preterm and medically complex infants in a level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
• Implement care using a neuro-protective, trauma-informed, and family-centered approach.
• Document all clinical activities and progress using electronic health records (EPIC).
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize relevant NICU equipment and ensure compliance with department protocols.

Required Qualifications:

• Current license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP).
• NICU experience with a focus on feeding of preterm and medically complex infants.
• Certification in BLS required; additional certifications such as ACLS preferred.
• Sound understanding of neuro-protective and trauma-informed care practices.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience working in a level 4 NICU environment.
• Familiarity with computerized charting systems, including EPIC.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different units or departments if needed, such as PICU/PICU settings.
