Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection procedures on patients in a trauma Level 1 facility.
• Ensure proper labeling, handling, and documentation of specimens.
• Float to other healthcare units and campuses as needed, performing tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies.
• Adhere to Prisma Health’s floating policies, maintaining flexibility to support census needs.
• Comply with all safety and procedural guidelines to ensure patient and staff safety.

Required Qualifications

• Prior trauma Level 1 experience.
• Recent travel experience; no first-time travelers accepted.
• At least 1 year of EPIC electronic medical records experience.
• BLS certification.
• Phlebotomy certification (e.g., NPS, ASCP, AMT, ASPT, NHA, ACA, NCCT, NPCE, NPA, NAPT, NHCO).
• Ability to float to different units and campuses as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Prisma Health’s floating policies and procedures.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
