Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized nursing care in the Labor and Delivery unit, including postpartum and newborn care.
  • Float between med-surg and emergency departments as needed to support facility staffing.
  • Cover assigned shifts, including every other weekend requirement.
  • Ensure all patient care activities comply with hospital policies and standards.
  • Utilize Epic EMR system efficiently, with recent experience within past two years.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all patient interactions and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license on file at the time of submission.
  • AHA BLS and NRP certifications required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Post-Partum) experience.
  • Experience with Epic EMR system within the past 2 years.
  • Ability to float between med-surg and ED units.
  • Must be prepared to start within the next 2 weeks.
  • Must have reliable transportation, with vehicles equipped for winter conditions (November–April).

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
  • Experience working in birthing centers, including labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.

Additional Information

  • This assignment is a travel position with a rate of $120 per hour, with local and radius rates available based on distance.
  • The assignment is located in Middlebury, VT, approximately 51-100 miles from some candidates, with straight-line distance considerations.
  • No block schedules; shifts primarily overnight (nights).
  • All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
  • Complete employment history, including bed count, EMR, and facility type, is required for submission.
  • Public transportation is not accessible; personal or rental vehicle recommended, equipped with all-season or snow tires during winter months.
