Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult patients in a Medical-Surgical and Telemetry unit.
• Monitor and assess patients with acute and chronic conditions, including respiratory illnesses, post-operative surgeries, orthopedics, and more.
• Administer IV medications such as Heparin and TNA as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety and comfort during night shifts.
• Float to other units if required, managing up to six patients and assisting with overflow tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical or Telemetry nursing.
• BLS certification; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Experience with acutely ill medical, surgical, and orthopedic patients.
• Knowledge of patient diagnoses such as respiratory illnesses, post-op surgeries, CHF, GI bleeding, diabetes, renal failure, and drug overdose.
• Ability to pass the required EKG exam.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with IV medication management including heparin drips.
• Prior experience working in a hospital setting with float responsibilities.
• First-time travelers are welcome.
