Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients in an acute care hospital setting.
- Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, assist with deliveries, and manage post-partum recovery.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic charting system.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Support new mothers and newborns during recovery and initial care periods.
Required Qualifications
- Valid California RN license (pending license not accepted).
- ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of labor and post-partum nursing experience.
- Hard-stop experience in labor and postpartum care.
- Ability to work 4x12-hour shifts upon request.
- No first-timers accepted; local candidates are not considered.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- AWHONN Advanced certification preferred.
- Experience in a high-volume acute care hospital.
- Ability to float between related units if needed.
