- Full-time, Night shift (7 PM - 7 AM), 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent nursing care in labor and delivery, including assisting with C-sections and post-partum care.
- Perform assessments, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation according to nursing standards.
- Administer medications, monitor treatment effectiveness, and document patient information accurately.
- Address the emotional, psychological, and social needs of patients and their families.
- Educate patients and families on care procedures and post-discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Valid RN license in Texas or a compact state.
- BLS certification (AHA).
- Current certification in electronic fetal monitoring (C-EFM) from AWHONN or NCC.
- Current NRP certification (AHA).
- Current ACLS certification (AHA).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- At least 1 year of experience in labor and delivery or a perinatal setting.
- Experience assisting with C-sections and providing post-partum care.
- Recent practice in a similar clinical environment.
