Schedule / Job Type
- Rotating shifts: 3x12 nights (7AM-7:30PM & 7PM-7:30AM)
- Potential for holiday rotation and floating within scope based on facility needs
- Full-time, designated as temporary travel assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to neonatal patients in a Level IV NICU setting
- Deliver safe, effective nursing care utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with healthcare team members
- Monitor and stabilize premature and critically ill neonates, managing complex conditions such as respiratory distress, prematurity, and surgical needs
- Support families and educate them about care plans and procedures
- Assist with advanced interventions including ECMO and CRRT as needed
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU nursing experience
- Must have Level IV NICU experience; Level III considered on a case-by-case basis
- South Carolina RN license or multi-state/compact license
- Current BLS and NRP certifications
- Ability to float within scope to meet unit needs
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with pediatric palliative care and neonatal surgical cases
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and adapt to a dynamic environment
- Strong collaboration and communication skills

Additional Information
- Facility located on the 5th floor of a major hospital with 820 beds
- All Neonatal ICU beds are monitored and equipped for advanced neonatal interventions
- Parking permit required for $20; additional parking fees may apply outside designated garage
- Hurricane season (June–November) may involve assignment to emergency response teams; candidates should consider this factor prior to acceptance
