Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Schedule / Job Type:

Days, Contract (13 weeks, potential extension), On-call (weekday and weekend, includes holidays)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab setting
• Perform complex procedures such as cardiac stent placements, diagnostic catheterizations, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Assist with vascular procedures including angioplasty, embolization, and IVC filter placements
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
• Set up and operate specialized equipment, ensure sterile techniques, and maintain Vascular Closure Systems
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab or related setting
• Experience with Vents, IV Starts, SWANZ, Circulating, Telemetry, PA Lines, Conscious Sedation, Balloon Pumps, Impella
• Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring, IABP and Impella insertion, and Laser-assisted procedures
• Familiarity with Cerner or Merge EMR systems
• Strong knowledge of cardiac cath lab procedures and vascular interventions

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Travel experience in cardiac or interventional labs
• Experience in electrophysiology (EP) lab or interventional radiology settings
• Ability to manage complex vascular procedures and operate Siemens equipment
