- Night shifts, full-time, inpatient mental health unit
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients in a psychiatric inpatient setting on night shifts
- Monitor and assess patient mental health status, implementing treatment plans as prescribed
- Administer medications and therapies in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team
- Ensure the safety and well-being of patients during overnight hours
- Comply with all licensing, regulatory, and hospital policies
Required Qualifications
- NY RN license with psychiatric or mental health experience
- Minimum of 2 years inpatient mental health hospital experience (MHU/BHU)
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to pass a NY registry background check (to be completed upon signing)
- Must not reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a hospital-based psychiatric unit during night shifts
- Strong communication and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
