Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Night shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients in a busy Level 2 trauma and comprehensive stroke center.
• Monitor and administer treatments using advanced equipment such as GE monitors and Baxter pumps.
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with a diverse healthcare team to deliver respectful and compassionate patient experiences, adhering to AIDET principles.
• Maintain flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department, including triage and internal processing units.
• Follow hospital policies, including attendance, dress code, and unit-specific procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience, ideally in a high-volume hospital (>100,000 visits annually).
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS before starting; PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC (within 90 days if applicable).
• Ability to perform advanced nursing procedures and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to coach and give feedback in real-time.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous experience in a trauma or stroke center.
• Experience working in a multicultural community with a diverse patient population.
• Prior HCA healthcare experience is a plus.

Position Details:

• Shift: Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Duration: 13 weeks, with potential for extension
