Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care to patients diagnosed with hematologic or oncologic malignancies.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and medical status.
• Monitor and manage treatment side effects such as nausea, fatigue, pain, and blood-related changes, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Educate patients and their families about diagnosis, treatment options, potential side effects, and supportive therapies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Deliver compassionate emotional support to patients and families during their cancer journey.
• Maintain accurate records of treatment, vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress.
• Assist with survivorship care planning and act as a preceptor for new staff members.
Required Qualifications
• Montana Registered Nurse license
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of direct patient care experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) credential
• Hematology/Oncology-specific clinical experience
• At least 3 years of direct patient care
