Key Responsibilities
• Provide patient-centered care to telemetry and progressive care patients within a Critical Access Hospital setting.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and utilize Alaris infusion pumps and Phillips cardiac monitors.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and support transfer procedures when necessary.
• Manage a patient load typically consisting of 1-4 or 5 patients, depending on acuity.
• Follow established protocols for emergency response, including Code 99 and Rapid Response situations.
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC electronic medical records.

Required Qualifications
• Active RN license in the state of Vermont.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical telemetry experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
• EPIC electronic health record experience from within the past 2 years.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with progressive care nursing.
• Knowledge of hospital protocols for cardiac monitoring, IV infusions, and patient transfers.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to quickly adapt to a busy hospital environment.
