Tech Dosimetrist

Job Title

• Dosimetrist - Radiation Oncology

• Salisbury, NC

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, day shifts, 8-hour days, Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist
• Collaborate with clinical team to ensure accurate dose calculations and treatment delivery
• Utilize advanced dosimetry systems including Electron Beam Therapy and IMRT
• Operate linear accelerators, specifically Varian True Beam systems
• Assist in planning fields with beam modifiers and field shaping techniques
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and patient-specific treatment plans

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of dosimetry experience in a clinical setting
• Experience with clinic-based CBCT, kV/mV imaging, and beam modifiers
• Competency in Electron Field and Respiratory Gating/Breath-Hold for left breast treatment
• Proficiency with Varian True Beam linear accelerators
• BLS certification
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology, with a radiation therapy specialization (ARRT-T)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with prostate cancer treatment involving seeds or fiducials
• Familiarity with adult outpatient radiation therapy environments
• Strong understanding of specialty treatments such as electron therapy and respiratory gating
