Job Title
• Surgical Tech – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Days

Key Responsibilities
• Provide perioperative support by preparing and maintaining the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and surgical team during various types of surgeries, including ortho, robotics, neuro, ENT, plastics, and general surgery.
• Float across units as needed and participate in call rotations, including weekends and holidays, complying with facility requirements.
• Ensure all documentation and preoperative protocols are completed accurately within the EPIC system.
• Maintain a sterile environment, assess equipment functionality, and respond to urgent patient needs during procedures.
• Adhere to hospital safety, dress code, and infection control policies, including proper scrubbing, gowning, and PPE use.

Required Qualifications
• Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA certification) or equivalent.
• NY state licensure as a Surgical Tech.
• BLS certification is required; CNOR preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical tech experience, ideally in a trauma level II or higher facility.
• Solid knowledge base in orthopedic, neuro, robotics, ENT, plastics, and general surgery.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including call, weekends, and holidays, with reliable transportation.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required.
• Scrub and circulate experience, with experience in high-volume surgical settings.
• Familiarity with EPIC documentation and surgical instrumentation.
