Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a 36-bed ICU step-down unit.
• Manage a diverse patient population, including medical, surgical, trauma, cardiac, and stroke patients.
• Monitor and respond to high-acuity patients with conditions such as sepsis, pneumonia, atrial fibrillation, ESRD, GI bleed, and DKA.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Follow all hospital protocols, including trauma and emergency procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an ICU Step-down or IMC unit (PCU experience alone not acceptable).
• Current ACLS and BCLS certifications.
• Maryland-approved Trauma Certification.
• NIH and TCAR certifications preferred.
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system.
• Valid RN license for Maryland or the applicable state.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of diverse diagnoses such as sepsis, pneumonia, and cardiac arrhythmias.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
