Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to surgical patients in the operating room setting.
• Assist with preoperative preparation and postoperative recovery, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and support staff to ensure smooth surgical procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation using the Cerner system and adhere to unit-specific policies.
• Demonstrate broad surgical knowledge across various service lines including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma.
• Adapt to variable scheduling and floating policies to support hospital operations as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Nursing license valid for North Carolina.
• At least 2 years of recent experience in operating room nursing.
• Proficiency with surgical procedures across multiple service lines.
• Ability to work variable shifts and support call requirements.
• Strong understanding of hospital safety protocols and documentation systems (Cerner preferred).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in high-volume surgical departments with diverse specialties.
• Familiarity with advanced surgical technologies and equipment.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing patient needs.
