Key Responsibilities
- Provide surgical technologist support in the operating room for a variety of service lines including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma.
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, equipment, and supplies to ensure smooth surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and healthcare teams during operative procedures, maintaining a high standard of patient safety and comfort.
- Adhere to hospital policies and unit-specific guidelines to ensure compliance and optimal patient care.
- Document procedures accurately using the hospital’s electronic medical records system.
- Float to other departments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist.
- Broad surgical knowledge across diverse service lines, including robotics and trauma.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred or required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a Level II trauma center or similar high-acuity setting.
- Familiarity with Cerner documentation systems.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Note: This is a 13-week travel assignment starting October 20, 2025, with a scheduled shift from 10:45 AM to 9:15 PM at Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC.
