Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a 16-bed Labor and Delivery unit.
- Manage ongoing patient assessments, monitor fetal and maternal health using electronic fetal monitoring.
- Assist in various procedures including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system.
- Ensure compliance with unit policies, safety standards, and certification requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
- Current and valid nursing license.
- BLS and ALS certifications.
- NRP certification.
- Experience with high-risk pregnancies and immediate newborn care.
- Proficient in advanced fetal monitoring techniques.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Circulating experience in labor and delivery.
- Familiarity with ultrasound or other monitoring equipment.
- Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality.
