Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic and gastrointestinal procedures.
- Assist with setup, procedures, and post-procedure recovery in a busy hospital endoscopy unit.
- Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
- Adhere to all unit policies, safety guidelines, and certification requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of in-hospital endoscopy or GI nursing experience.
- Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for call shifts and weekends.
- Experience with Olympus scopes, ION, ERBE, and Cerner EMR preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Pulmonary procedural experience such as EBUS, Bronchoscopy, EGD, Colonoscopy, EUS, ERCP.
- Ability to be self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
