Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on a 42-bed Heart Failure/Stroke unit focusing on neuro-cardiac conditions such as congestive heart failure and acute stroke.
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed, ensuring flexibility across various departments.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and neurologists to deliver evidence-based, compassionate care.
• Adhere to facility standards and procedures utilizing Meditech electronic medical records.
• Work a 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM schedule, supporting patient recovery and stability in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Valid Alabama or Compact RN license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• AHA or Red Cross BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1.8 years of professional nursing experience, with at least 1 year in the specialty of Med Surg/Telemetry or stroke units.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in neuro and cardiac patient populations.
• Previous float or multi-unit staffing experience.
