Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgery in the PACU.
- Coordinate and implement patient care tailored to the age and needs of the patient population.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained throughout patient recovery.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Demonstrate professionalism and respect in interactions with staff, physicians, and patients.
Required Qualifications
- Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Knowledge of age-specific patient care and patient rights.
- Ability to handle emergency situations and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Epic experience is preferred.
- Previous PACU or perioperative nursing experience.
