Registered Nurse Oncology

- Full-time, rotating shifts (Days/Nights)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care to oncology patients with diagnoses such as lymphoma, multiple myeloma, leukemia, sickle cell disease, and other hematology/oncology conditions.
- Administer chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and other medications while maintaining strict infection prevention protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions using telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias; respond appropriately to emergencies like tumor lysis syndrome or cytokine release syndrome.
- Perform procedures including central line blood draws, IV insertions, PICC line management, and blood product administration.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and utilize computerized charting systems to ensure accurate patient records.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or required.
- Experience with MS/Tele and telemetry monitoring.
- Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, and blood product management.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous oncology or hematology nursing experience.
- Knowledge of chemotherapy procedures and oncologic emergencies.
- Ability to float between Med/Surg and Oncology units as needed.
