Key Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient speech therapy services to adult patients in an acute hospital setting
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for communication and swallowing disorders
- Document patient progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Follow established protocols and maintain compliance with all licensing and certification requirements
Required Qualifications
- Valid Alaska State Speech-Language Pathologist license
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of outpatient adult speech therapy experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently within scope of practice
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in an acute hospital or trauma setting
- Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record system

Additional Details
- No on-call or weekend requirements
- Travel distance must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Pending license acceptance is available
- Open to new graduates with appropriate certification
- No guaranteed guaranteed hours beyond 72 hours per 2 weeks; potential for calling off shifts
