Full-time, Temporary, 13-week assignment, Evening/Night shift (3:00 PM - 3:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients in a Level II trauma and comprehensive stroke center.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, administer treatments, and coordinate with healthcare teams.
- Assist with procedures and utilize advanced equipment such as Baxter pumps and GE monitors.
- Maintain accurate documentation using the Cerner system and ensure patients' safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver respectful, patient-centered care aligned with hospital standards.
- Support a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility to work in all areas of the ED and floating as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse, with at least 1 year in an emergency department setting.
- Valid certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC (within 90 days of hire).
- Proven experience in a Level 2 trauma center and high-volume ED environment.
- Strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience with HCA-affiliated hospitals preferred.
- Familiarity with fast-paced, multicultural emergency care environments serving diverse patient populations.
- Experience using electronic documentation systems such as Cerner.
