Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a 36-bed medical-surgical unit utilizing remote telemetry and other equipment.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage complex wounds.
- Assist with blood product administration, pain management, and management of tubes and drains, including chest tubes and feeding tubes.
- Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech).
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure effective patient care and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Valid LVN or LPN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in a medical-surgical setting.
- Ability to work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Trauma experience.
- Telemetry experience.
- Experience managing complex wounds and administering blood products.
- Knowledge of additional equipment such as vein finders, glucometers, and wound vacs.
