- Full-time, Days, 3x12s (Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM), on-call
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scrub and circulate duties for complex cardiac surgeries, general OR procedures, and vascular cases.
- Assist with advanced cardiac procedures including CABG, TAVR, LVAD, Impella, Valve repairs, Heart and Lung Transplants.
- Provide comprehensive patient care in a Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment.
- Participate in on-call rotations, handling 5-8 calls per month, including weekends and holidays.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and document clinical activities within the EPIC charting system.
- Follow all safety guidelines including radiation safety protocols and maintain required certifications.
Required Qualifications
- SC or multi-state RN license in good standing prior to start.
- Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience, with ability to scrub and circulate complex cardiac cases.
- BLS and ACLS certifications, American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
- Radiation badge (agency-provided), must be current at start of assignment.
- Ability to handle on-call responsibilities, including emergency response during hurricane season.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a teaching or Level I Trauma facility.
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic charting system.
- Prior experience with high-acuity cardiac and vascular cases.
