Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to neonates and their families in a Level IV NICU setting.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver safe, effective nursing interventions, including respiratory support, nutritional support, and surgical care.
- Float within scope of practice to meet the needs of the unit, ensuring coverage for shifts as required.
- Adhere to unit protocols and maintain accurate documentation within electronic medical records (EPIC).
- Support families through complex neonatal care, including preparedness for discharge and home monitoring programs.
- Comply with hospital policies, safety regulations, and licensing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience, preferably in Level IV NICU settings; Level III NICU experience considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Current BLS and NRPL certifications.
- South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
- Willingness to float within scope and work rotating night shifts.
- Ability to work the required weekend shifts and participate in holiday rotation.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ECMO/CRRT and neonatal surgical support.
- Knowledge of pediatric palliative care.
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills.

Additional Information
- Facility: MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital, a 820-bed Level I Trauma Center.
- Parking: Permits available through hospital parking management with a $20 registration fee.
- Note: During hurricane season (June–November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams.
- RTO approvals are required at time of submission.
- Guaranteed hours; traveler may be canceled or called off once every two weeks.
