Key Responsibilities
- Circulate in the cardiovascular operating room, ensuring delivery of quality and compassionate patient care.
- Coordinate and supervise nursing activities, maintaining professional standards and fostering positive therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
- Provide clinical leadership by articulating care standards, delegating tasks, and supervising licensed and non-licensed team members.
- Support the nursing team, including LPNs, PCAs, US techs, and other staff, to ensure efficient and safe patient care during surgical procedures.
- Maintain compliance with professional and facility protocols, including documentation and medication administration.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
- Active Alabama or Compact Registered Nurse license (no temporary licenses accepted).
- BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or Red Cross.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional nursing experience, with at least 1 year in cardiovascular surgery or relevant specialty.
- Ability to work flexible assignments and float to other units and hospitals as needed.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a CVOR setting strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical records.
- Leadership or supervisory experience within a clinical setting.

Additional Details
- Shift: Days, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
- Duration: 13 weeks, with possibility of extensions
- Start Date: October 13, 2025
- End Date: January 10, 2026
- Worksite: 809 University Boulevard East, Tuscaloosa, AL
- Hours guaranteed: 36 hours per week
- Parking available; willing to float to other units/hospitals
