Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent nursing care for cardiac and telemetry patients, utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
• Educate patients and family members on care plans and treatment, identifying learning needs and available resources.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

• RN license in the state of Louisiana or in a state with a compact agreement.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in a relevant specialty preferred.
• Ability to attend new nurse orientation within the first 30 days of hire.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in cardiac or telemetry units.
• Strong assessment and clinical skills in acute care settings.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
