Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and apheresis treatments.
• Monitor patient vital signs, cardiac status, and responses during dialysis procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including patient call systems and telemetry monitoring.
• Support patients with end-stage renal disease, acute kidney injury, and other critical conditions requiring renal treatments.
• Collaborate with ancillary staff to deliver quality care in a fast-paced, 24/7 dialysis department.
• Maintain documentation of treatments and patient progress accurately and timely.

Required Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
• Knowledge of dialysis procedures and equipment such as Baxter Amia PD and Spectra Optia Apheresis devices.
• Ability to work rotating weekends and on-call Sunday nights.
• Comfortable working in an acute care environment with critically ill patients.
• Ability to float between multiple hospital campuses as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in dialysis or critical care nursing.
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and neurology, renal, or hematologic patient populations.
• Knowledge of infection control practices specific to dialysis environments.
