Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical/Surgical unit with a low acuity level.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including full assessments and focused assessments every 8 hours.
• Administer IV antibiotics and perform bladder scans.
• Educate patients on discharge instructions and perform admission assessments.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Utilize Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) system for documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license to practice in Virginia.
• Ability to handle a patient ratio of 6:1 (with surge capacity up to 7:1).
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Meditech EMR environment.
• Demonstrated teamwork and strong communication skills.
• Upbeat and energetic personality.
• Prior experience in Medical/Surgical nursing preferred but not required for recent graduates.
