Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, day shifts, 12-hour shifts (0645 to 1915), scheduled 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in the Intermediate Care (IMC), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Stepdown areas.
- Float between various medical and surgical units based on staffing needs.
- Utilize electronic medical records, medication dispensing systems, and specialized equipment such as wound vacs and chest tubes.
- Adhere to professional nursing standards and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with unit-specific protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Hawaii Registered Nurse license (must be obtained prior to start date or upon acceptance).
- 2+ years of relevant nursing experience.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred (PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC are a plus).
- Ability to float to different units/departments as needed.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in medical/surgical, cardiovascular, or similar units.
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR and clinical equipment such as pyxis and wound vacs.
- Strong critical thinking and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
