Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical/Surgical and Telemetry unit within a hospital setting.
- Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and respond to patient needs.
- Recognize and interpret ECG rhythms accurately and escalate concerns accordingly.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities thoroughly and accurately in electronic health records.
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in the Medical/Surgical or Telemetry specialty prior to travel assignments.
- Must have at least 18 months of recent Medical/Surgical or Telemetry experience; travel experience qualifies.
- Valid Ohio license or a current Compact State license.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a large hospital facility.
- Comfort working rotating shifts including nights and holidays.
