Full-time, Night shifts, 36 hours per week, every other weekend and holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care for neuro-medical/surgical and telemetry patients, including stroke and epilepsy monitoring units.
- Practice a variety of nursing skills across neuro and general medical-surgical populations.
- Support hospital needs by being flexible to work in different units as required.
- Ensure accurate assessment and documentation of patient condition, including basic EKG testing.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland or applicable state.
- Experience in neurology, medical-surgical, and telemetry nursing.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Basic EKG interpretation skills.
- Ability to complete required exams through agency-provided Relias/Prophecy platform prior to orientation.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a certified stroke center or epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU).
- Flexibility to support additional hospital units as needed.
